Welcome!

Welcome to Fifth Grade! I know that we are going to have an amazing year together. There will be some challenging assignments and, at times, the material will be difficult. We will get through it all together! I am always going to be your number one supporter and will always be cheering you on as we work together to make this year a success!

I have been teaching for about thirteen years and I am very excited to be a part of the DeSales family. I look forward to learning many things from all of you as well! I graduated from Buffalo State College with a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education. I continued my education at Niagara University, where I earned a Masters degree in Literacy Instruction. I have taught every grade K-8 as a substitute teacher, and as a full time teacher I have taught Kindergarten, Third Grade, Fourth Grade and Sixth Grade. I have been busy!

I have three beautiful children! Madisen is six years old and is in First Grade here at DeSales. She absolutely loves it here! Matthew is four years old and is in the Pre-K 4 program here as well. He has trouble getting out of bed in the morning! Benjamin is one, and is learning very quickly how to get into EVERYTHING! So, if you happen to see me on my way to school, you will probably see me with a large cup of coffee!

I am an avid reader. I love just about every type of book! My favorite author is Iris Johansen. I also love poetry, so please feel free to share anything you have written, read, found in the library or on-line! A few of my favorite things to do (other than reading) are swimming, taking my children to the park, watching scary movies, and, of course, teaching! I cannot wait to kick off this school year with all of you!
