Grades

Hello All -
I just want to take a moment to mention that 5 week reports will be coming out VERY soon! With that being said, any papers that come back to the students with a "Please Fix" written on them is a chance for the kids to raise their grade. THEY KNOW THIS. I mention it just about every time I return papers to them. I feel that it is important for them to see their mistakes, and then give them an opportunity to correct. IF they turn the papers back into me, and their answers are correct, I raise their grade to 80%. On the flip side of this, I also have explained  that I will not hunt them down for their corrections. If I am going to give them this opportunity, then I would really like to see them taking on the responsibility to help boost their average.
I do not do this for every assignment. Please check for the "please fix" on any papers that are handed back.
I understand that things are crazy at the beginning of the year, but now that we are winding down and settling into a routine, I am hopeful that the students (with some encouragement from you!) will really run with this opportunity!
